WHAT DO WE WANT - EQUALITY ! - WHEN DO WE WANT IT - NOW !
It that loud enough. Anywhere in the Western World, if you are born with a disability there is assistance available, if you went into ANY GP and he took your blood pressure and it was higher than 160/90 you would receive immediate access to drugs/hospital/care. At what point does a human being with disease gain access easily and pleasantly to equal care. Why isn't there a code amongst them like there is with a blood pressure monitor. Stage 4 disease, oh here is your big red C to pin on your shirt whenever you need attention. I would wear it with pride. All I ask for me and every other met's patient is to have access instantly to the equal level of care. We replace hips in 85 year old widows, because she wants another couple of years at bowls. This is a personal, recent experience. She is not friggin' likely to be gettin' back to bowls any time soon. She has NO experience of hospitals or surgery. She had a whole hip joint replaced. She is 85, oh how I and everyone else here would like the prospect of replacing a joint at that age. She was told by her GP, then Surgeon it was a good idea. Are you joking! Is it just to keep on seeing if they can, or what? This goes on everywhere, every day. Taking up time and precious hospital space that I selfishly think could be more effectively utilised. How dare I expect to have heard from the Hospital yet about my colonoscopy. I got a letter today regarding my PET scan, it is booked for 7th Feb, same day I am supposed to be back to the Oncologist with my results. I rang 3 hours ago, left a message about trying to get the PET before 7th Feb. Have not heard back even though "the lady who does the bookings will ring you when she gets back from her break". I want to SCREAM. there that feels better
Love to all xx
