Bumper Stickers

I have a couple of favourite bumper stickers, a lot of my friends already know this. One is "Honk if you love Jesus...Text while driving if you want to meet him". It is actually an aphorism. A weird word for wisdom, really.

I saw one yesterday, on a beaten-up, old Mitsubishi, driven by a 17 or 18 year old guy. (He had his "P" plates up, which gives away his age)....it said "Don't Laugh, My Other Ride is Your Mother". Now maybe not hilarious, or a new joke, but because I had seen this sticker I was prompted to look into a blog I saw called "If Cancer Was Easy, They'd Call It Your Mother".

Please have a look....Ovarian Cancer at 20 years of age, WTF, this cancer really suxbutt. But I am sooo jealous of her Dr C & Dr R. Jealousy is a curse. I rescind that comment, I am NOT jealous, I resolve to find the way to communicate better with my medical team.  You just have to look, and you always find what you need. I need to remember how lucky I am. If Cancer Was Easy, They'd Call It Your Mother

  1. Thank you so much, Juanita. I wasn't always blessed with a great doc. The first one was good, but he had to be replaced. Two posts I would point you to might explain a little of what I did to find my guy.

    1. Thank you OCW (I would love to know your name, only if you are ok with this)...I did look up these posts. I feel almost compelled to print them out and take them with me to see my new Prof this Wednesday! I am stuck with him at this stage, as he is the only surgeon here in WA who specialises in the type of op I need. Makes me SO happy to read that there are really, really good doctors out there. Hang in there honey, thoughts and best wishes to you every day xx
